The Baja Designs 5000K Squadron Sport LED Work/Scene Pair Light Pods are square, 3-inch light pods delivering 3150 lumens of cold white light at 5000K color temperature. Each unit consumes 26 watts and operates on 12V. Constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum and a hard-coated polycarbonate lens, these lights are waterproof up to 9 feet and feature replaceable lenses and optics. They include a wiring harness, bracket, and mounting hardware, and come with a limited lifetime warranty. Made in the USA.
Our take
I needed some serious auxiliary lighting for my off-road rig, and the Baja Designs Squadron Sport pods deliver. They chuck out a clean 3150 lumens from a compact 3-inch housing, and the 5000K natural white is easy on the eyes during long night drives. The build quality is top-notch—aluminum body, polycarbonate lens, stainless steel bracket. They're waterproof to 9 feet, which gives me peace of mind during creek crossings. The only tradeoff is the price tag; at $250, they're not cheap. Also, they're square, which might limit some mounting options. But for a USA-made product with a limited lifetime warranty, I think they're worth it.
